\/><\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>In 2010 I set out to construct my own Longtail Cargo Bike based on a 26\u00e2\u20ac\u00b3 front wheel and a 20\u00e2\u20ac\u00b3 rear wheel. \u00c2\u00a0My goal was to build a solid platform capable of hauling hundreds of pounds of either static or dynamic cargo (e.g. human or otherwise) in a stable manner. \u00c2\u00a0I wished to have a comfortable ride for both the driver as well as a passenger and I set out to create it all from scrap bikes, metal, and parts. \u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The build was completed in the Spring of 2010 and I have now been riding the steed for five years with excellent results. \u00c2\u00a0I have used it to move all of my belongings multiple times, it has hauled as much as 500 lbs. of rider\/cargo, it has carried humans, dogs, beer kegs, recycling, and myriad other loads. \u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I am damn proud of my DIY Longtail Cargo Bike named The RecycleCycle.
