December 21st, 2010<\/b>: Eighteen cyclists show up at the Bozeman Bike Kitchen decked out in winter garb ranging from technical cycling gear to fluorescent 80s ski outfits.  These are the shenanigan-plagued ruffians of The Bozeman Fix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The race director took the inspiration from a friend and confidant for setting up the race and rather than pre-determine a series of stops opted instead to “crowd source” the race course on the spot.  Each racer received slip of paper and a pencil at the start and was asked to write what stop they’d like to see as part of the race, and how many total stops they’d like to see.  The race director tallied up the results and then asked for yays and nays regarding each stop.  Eight stops were settled upon with the race starting and ending at the Bike Kitchen.  Each racer wrote out their own manifest, the cyclists gathered their steeds in the snowy parking area out front and when the clock struck 19:00 the race was on.  <\/p>\n

The first racer returned to the Bike Kitchen at 19:38 having chosen a route that was seven miles in length.  Racers trailed in for the next fifteen minutes or so and thanks to the comfort of the Bike Kitchen’s woodstove everyone hung out and chatted for a couple hours.<\/p>\n
