We chose a night ride at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morcmtb.org\/wiki\/index.php\/Murphy-Hanrehan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Murphy Hanrehan Park Reserve<\/a> located south of Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p>Scott was on a full-suspension <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ventanausa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ventana<\/a> and I borrowed his single-speed <a href=\"http:\/\/salsacycles.com\/bikes\/selma\/\" target=\"_blank&quot;\">Salsa Selma<\/a>, a fine specimen of a 29er constructed of scandium tubing with carbon seatstays. We both had high-powered HID light systems which worked well for the first seven miles until Scott&#8217;s pooped out. We opted to ride a dirt road back to the trailhead rather than cut our speed in half and try to ride with one light.
