<a class=\"vt-p\" href=\"https:\/\/www.goruck.com\/selection\" target=\"_blank\">GORUCK Selection<\/a> &#8211; is all about 100% selfish perseverance in the face of punishing beat down. \u00c2\u00a0Participants will move in excess of 80 miles under great physical duress, with very limited caloric intake, and rest. \u00c2\u00a0The event will last a minimum of 48 hours and the for nearly the entirety of that, the GORUCK Cadre (all former or active Special Forces operators) will make it their goal to force you to quit. \u00c2\u00a0The event was designed by operators and is based on the standards of Special Forces Assessment and Selection course in the armed forces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>GORUCK Selection 2014 takes place in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and begins Thursday, Oct. 9 at 13:00 EST and will include live updates via the <a class=\"vt-p\" href=\"http:\/\/news.goruck.com\/events\/selection015\/\" target=\"_blank\">GORUCK news blog<\/a>, <a class=\"vt-p\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GORUCK\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>, <a class=\"vt-p\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GORUCK\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>, and <a class=\"vt-p\" href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/goruck\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>* Warning, video contains\u00c2\u00a0some cursing. &nbsp;
